How space looks depending on reflectance
We hope that you will use this as a tool to share a common understanding of how things look during meetings, and an image of light distribution, based on the differences in appearance caused by differences in the reflectance and light distribution of the floor, walls, and ceilings through light. Also, since it is not possible to determine the brightness of each color, we have provided a link below to a "list of color samples by saturation and brightness" on "Color Site.COM." We hope that you will use this as a guide for interior colors.
[Comparison of spatial appearance with narrow-angle and wide-angle light distribution]
① Calculation conditions: Floor (10%), wall (50%), ceiling (70%), no reflective coating ② Equipment used: Downlight LED 8.1W (Left side: 1/2 illuminance angle ∠12°, Right side: 1/2 illuminance angle ∠81°)
In the case of narrow angle light distribution
In the case of wide-angle light distribution
[Differences in appearance due to differences in interior reflectivity]
Calculation conditions ① Left side: Floor (10%), wall (70%), ceiling (70%), no reflective coating Right side: Floor (10%), wall (10%), ceiling (10%), no reflective coating ② Equipment used: Downlight LED 8.1W (1/2 illuminance angle ∠81°)
When the interior color has high reflectance
When the interior color has low reflectance
[Differences in appearance due to differences in interior gloss]
① Calculation conditions: Floor (10%), wall (50%), ceiling (70%), no reflective coating. ② Equipment used: Downlight LED 8.1W (1/2 illuminance angle ∠81°)
When the interior gloss is 20%
Average illuminance from floor reflection: 54.0LX
When the interior gloss is 50%
Average illuminance from floor reflection: 62.0LX
When the interior gloss is 70%
Average illuminance from floor reflection: 71.5LX
[Illuminance irradiated onto the floor]
Average illuminance: 75.0LX
The higher the interior gloss, the higher the central illuminance of the light reflected from the floor due to specular reflection, and the lower the interior gloss, the lower the central illuminance from the floor due to diffuse reflection.
